Intro

Sterling is a new product launched on 2026-11-05 by Mira Network, the decentralized AI-verification network behind Klok and Mira Verify. Its site is sterling.mira.network and the tagline is "One key. Every model. Verified inference."

It is a unified inference gateway: one API key gives access to Claude, GPT, Gemini and other leading models. Unlike a plain router, Sterling continuously tests every inference provider — checking whether it secretly serves a smaller/quantized model, breaks tool calls or truncates context — and routes only to verified providers.

To avoid confusion with Samaya Sterling (Samaya AI's RL post-trained agentic model) already in this database, this entry is titled "Mira Sterling".

Explain

What problem it solves

Many open and closed models are served via third-party providers, clouds and aggregators, and quality can vary wildly — a community example cites the same model scoring 37% on one provider and 93% on another. Developers pay for a frontier model but may get a degraded one without noticing.

How it works

  • Real-time provider verification: continuous capability/consistency tests (model swaps, tool-call correctness, full context length);
  • Route only to verified providers;
  • One key, many models: an OpenRouter-like aggregated API, differentiated by verification.

Context

Mira is known for multi-model output verification (Mira Verify) and a crypto-economic network; Sterling extends verification from the output layer to the provider layer. Launch-day buzz on X was strong (official post 14k+ views), though much came from crypto-community promotion — check official docs for exact methodology and model coverage.

Usage

Who it's for

  • Developers calling LLMs through third-party providers or aggregators who worry about silent model swaps;
  • Teams sensitive to agent tool-call reliability;
  • Indie developers wanting one key across many models.

Getting started

  1. Visit sterling.mira.network to sign up and get an API key;
  2. Point your client (OpenAI-compatible style — confirm in the official docs) at the Sterling base URL and pick Claude / GPT / Gemini;
  3. Use the 50% launch discount to A/B test against your current provider;
  4. Run a small benchmark of your own on critical tasks to confirm routing quality.

Notes

  • Newly launched: pricing, SLAs and verification details may change;
  • Not the same as Samaya Sterling (a model).
